Alana Weinberg, RSW, MSW (She/Her)
Virtual CBT & DBT Therapist in Ontario
Alana Weinberg is a Registered Social Worker who holds both a BSW (Ryerson University, 2011) and an MSW (Dalhousie University, 2016). Alana has training in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal ideation and self-harm, parent/child conflict, trouble at school, parenting and general coping with stress at home and work.
Alana’s work is grounded on the principles of attachment, trauma and neurobiology. Her approach is a balance of acceptance and change; ensuring to be client-centred while being firm and challenging at the same time. Each client is an individual and she will work with you to tailor a treatment program that meets your needs.
Ultimately Alana strives to work herself out of a job, meaning all your goals have been met and you don’t need her anymore. Alana offers evidence-based, client-centred individual therapy from an attachment/trauma-informed lens, using elements of various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Behavioural Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness, and Attachment-based interventions.

When not working, Alana enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and family, and most importantly with her “he’s supposed to be a Cockapoo but he’s mainly a Cocker Spaniel” dog, Teddy.
