Alana Weinberg, RSW. Virtual DBT and CBT Therapist in Ontario.

Virtual CBT & DBT Therapist in Ontario

Alana Weinberg is a Registered Social Worker who holds both a BSW (Ryerson University, 2011) and an MSW (Dalhousie University, 2016). Alana has training in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal ideation and self-harm, parent/child conflict, trouble at school, parenting and general coping with stress at home and work.

Alana’s work is grounded on the principles of attachment, trauma and neurobiology. Her approach is a balance of acceptance and change; ensuring to be client-centred while being firm and challenging at the same time. Each client is an individual and she will work with you to tailor a treatment program that meets your needs.

Ultimately Alana strives to work herself out of a job, meaning all your goals have been met and you don’t need her anymore. Alana offers evidence-based, client-centred individual therapy from an attachment/trauma-informed lens, using elements of various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Behavioural Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness, and Attachment-based interventions.

Are you looking for that instruction manual to help you navigate difficult issues? Whether you are a parent looking for instructions to help your child, a teen trying to figure out yourself and relationships or an adult trying to figure out life – each one of you may need an instruction booklet to help you out. Let's create the manual together!

When not working, Alana enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and family, and most importantly with her “he’s supposed to be a Cockapoo but he’s mainly a Cocker Spaniel” dog, Teddy.
