Celissa Vipond is a highly skilled social worker with a passion for providing evidence-based therapies to help people improve their mental health and well-being. Based in Midland, Ontario, Celissa has worked in the field for over a decade and has established herself as an expert in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT).
Celissa earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto in 2010. She is a registered CBT therapist with the Canadian Association of Cognitive & Behavioural Therapies (CACBT) and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional for complex trauma. She is also a registered CPT Provider, specializing in providing care to people with PTSD and trauma, using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE).
Celissa currently works full-time as a Faculty Member and Clinical Supervisor for the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program (OSP), where she delivers CBT training and CBT supervision to other therapists.
She is highly regarded in the field and is known for her expertise in providing CBT and exposure-based treatments to people with trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
In her practice, Celissa prides herself on being person-centred and treating people respectfully and honestly. She creates a safe space where people feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings, and she works collaboratively with her clients to develop treatment plans that meet their individual needs.

When she's not working, Celissa enjoys practicing yoga and mindfulness, spending time with her family and friends, and walking her puppy, Chuck. She also loves being outside and exploring nature.

Virtual therapy sessions are available to anyone in Ontario, but please note that you must be an adult to work with a psychologist, while our psychotherapist can see children aged 12 years and older. Celissa can work with people who are approximately 15 years and older.
What is Celissa’s therapy fee?
Celissa’s CBT therapy rate is $170 for a 50-minute session. A variety of health benefit plans covers Celissa. She also accepts Non-Insured Health Benefits (for those who are Indigenous) and Veteran Affairs Canada (VAC; Registered Blue Cross/Blue Shield Provider). She can directly bill if your insurance company is with Telus Health eClaims.
Just so you know, we have a variety of CBT therapists and rates (starting at $120). If you are not covered to see a registered social worker, we also have a psychologist, a nurse, and a registered psychotherapist.
